From over fifty years, we are in the heart of the Civita Castellana ceramic district, and over time, we built our identity with a clear vision: to grow by continuously investing in the best available technologies, choosing partners capable of truly supporting us over the long term. In this journey, SACMI represents a strategic ally with whom we share a history of innovation, industrial evolution, and common goals.
Our growth in professional tableware has been driven by a precise industrial strategy: constantly improving quality, production flexibility, and efficiency, while never losing sight of the product's aesthetic value and attention to factory working conditions. This approach, over the years, has allowed us to approach every technological step with consistency and vision.
Over time, we progressively developed our forming department with SACMI isostatic presses, currently boasting twelve installed machines, including the first-generation LPP models and the more recent PHO451 models. This technology allows us to produce increasingly complex items—round, oval, rectangular, and square—while maintaining high quality standards and great production flexibility.
A major turning point came with the introduction of the new-generation "green" presses, which allow us to significantly reduce energy consumption and cooling water usage. The most recent lines are also equipped with the OFM universal finishing machine, which allows for dry processing and rapid format changeovers thanks to automatic contour recognition.
For us, innovation isn't just about shaping. In 2017, we were among the first Italian tableware manufacturers to introduce in-line digital decoration with the SACMI DHD printer. This technology allows us to apply personalized decorations directly to the unfired glaze, reducing development times and increasing production flexibility, with clear advantages in product customization.
At the same time, we have continued to invest in the overall efficiency of the plant, with SACMI roller kilns in operation for over twenty years and with new initiatives dedicated to environmental sustainability and the quality of the work environment.
This includes the new dust extraction and filtration system installed in 2025, with a capacity of 20,000 m³/h and connected to the presses and raw material feed silos. This system allows us to significantly reduce dust in production departments and emissions, further improving the safety and health of the work environment in line with European crystalline silica regulations.
Our goal is to continue developing an increasingly efficient, sustainable, and customizable production model, strengthening Saturnia's presence in the international professional tableware market and combining Italian manufacturing tradition with technological innovation.
